Mrs. Deandria Sylvester

Greetings and Salutations,

I am DeAndria Sylvester and I am a native of Jackson, MS. I am ecstatic about the upcoming 2024-2025 school year to be able to serve as one of the Assistant Principals at the University of South Jackson. I look forward to learning and working with Principal Hampton and the USJ staff.
I am an alumnus of Wingfield High School and Alcorn State University. I graduated from Alcorn in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and again in 2011 with a Master of Science Degree in Secondary Education with a minor in Guidance Education. I received my Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Mississippi College (MC) in 2018 and am currently a doctoral candidate at MC in Educational Leadership.

I am elated about entering my 16th year in education. I have a strong desire to positively impact our scholars' lives. I will endeavor to establish a secure and stimulating learning atmosphere that encourages and supports each student in reaching their full potential. It’s my goal to ensure our PATRIOTS are offered quality academic experiences personalized for their learning needs.
