    Dear USJ Stakeholders,

Greetings to each of you who share a vested interest to ensure USJ (Forest Hill High) progresses on our journey to becoming a school of excellence!

I am gratefully married to Jennifer Blake who I met while serving as minister in a church within Patchogue, NY. We have been blessed with 4 children. Our oldest son, Ibrahim Blake, is a senior computer science major at Harding University. Our oldest daughter, Rahamatu Blake, is a junior accounting major at Harding University. Our youngest son, Musa Blake, is a freshman computer science and mathematics double major at Abilene Christian University. Our youngest daughter, Imani Blake, is a sophomore at Clinton High enjoying choir, culinary arts, and Scouting.

My educational journey began simply in a passion to be a lifelong career missionary in 1987. To this end, I trained at Freed-Hardeman University (1991) in west Tennessee and Harding School of Theology, (1995, 2001) in Memphis. A 17-year career in ministry led to Memphis, Long Island New York, and northern Nigeria. When our family returned from northern Nigeria in 2008, I began pursuing Tennessee licensure as a social studies educator. This led to teaching opportunities in Memphis (2010), Millington TN (2011), and Warren Central High (2012) in Vicksburg. While at Warren Central, I became National Board Certified (2014). This led to my selection to be equipped by the University of Mississippi Principal Corps (2015). After my Principal Corps selection, I was placed in Clinton Public School District. After Principal Corps completion (2016), I returned to serve as an assistant principal at Vicksburg High. Thereafter, I was selected to serve as the lead principal at Magee High (2020) then Riverside High (2021). The impact of long commutes on my family led me to accept a local assistant principal role at Lanier High then follow the 澳门六合彩开奖接口 deputy superintendent's request to serve as the Cardozo Middle interim principal.

My plan to make USJ a school of excellence is five-fold: 1) create a freshmen academy culture of scholarship which rewards student attendance, wholesome character, and academic growth; 2) assist in the improvement of a culture of tasteful decor, daily cleanliness, and enhanced stimulating student-work presentations; 3) collaborate with all stakeholders to raise the graduation rate with targeted intervention on freshmen struggling to attend school, feel belonging, and maintain motivation to study; 4) collegially serve alongside each teacher with consistent, meaningful instructional feedback to improve student outcomes; 5) ensure campus safety, security, and wellness by serving alongside all staff to ensure each Patriot cultivates social connectedness and emotional fulfillment.
