Mrs. Avis Lloyd
My name is Avis Lloyd, and I am proud to be a Johnson Elementary School Tiger!! I am from Jackson, Ms., and received a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Education from Jackson State University. I also earned a Specialist in Psychometry from Jackson State University. For the last three years, I have been teaching Exceptional Education. I am also certified to teach Elementary Education, Secondary English, and Gifted Education as well. This is my 23rd year as an educator.
I have a true passion for teaching scholars to read and I am honored to accept this challenge daily. Watching the lightbulb go off when a student realizes he/she can read, is the most rewarding feeling. I strive to create an environment that nurtures this growth in a positive, fun environment.
Personally, I have been married for 15 wonderful years! We have one beautiful daughter and one feisty Yorkie! My favorite thing to do is watch movies and eat popcorn with my favorite girl!
