Yasontas Burton returns to John Hopkins Elementary where she served as an assistant principal for four years. Previously, she served as the principal of Lake Elementary since 2021. Ms. Burton began her career in education in West Palm Beach, Florida as a kindergarten teacher. She worked there for four years before returning home to work for 澳门六合彩开奖接口 at Lake Elementary School as a kindergarten teacher. She served the Lake school community for 14 years as a kindergarten and first-grade teacher, literacy coach and interventionist. She became assistant principal at Johnson Elementary in 2014, where she served for two years. 

Ms. Burton is a proud 澳门六合彩开奖接口 graduate from Provine High School. She is super excited to be back at Lake in this new capacity. Her goal is to continue the tradition of great success by ensuring that scholars reach their academic potential and become well-rounded, productive citizens. Dr. Hemphill began her teaching career at John Hopkins Elementary School 20 years ago. She also attended John Hopkins as a student in all of her elementary years. She received her Bachelor of Science and Master's degrees in Elementary Education from Jackson State University. She also received her Doctoral Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from Jackson State University. She is a proud graduate and product of 澳门六合彩开奖接口.
