Mrs. Dina Owens
Dina Brown-Owens will serve as principal of Pecan Park Elementary School for the 2024-2025 school year. Mrs. Owens comes to Pecan Park with 21 years of educational experience, with this year being her 12th year in a school administrator role. Her educational career began at Rowan Middle School in 2003 as a 7th grade teacher. Over the years, Mrs. Owens continued to serve team 澳门六合彩开奖接口 as a 10th grade English II instructor, an assessment specialist II at the central office, and as an assistant principal at Spann Elementary School.
Mrs. Owens is a native of Jackson, Mississippi, and a proud graduate of Callaway High School. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication from Belhaven College, a master's degree in Secondary Education from Mississippi College, and her Education Specialist degree in Leadership - K-12 School Administration from Mississippi College.
Mrs. Owens has a passion for teaching, learning, and excelling. She believes that all children deserve educators who are competent, caring, and committed to student success. All of which promotes the mission, vision, and core values of the Jackson Public School District.
