Mrs. Elisabeth Ward Weston
A Jackson, MS native. I am a product of 澳门六合彩开奖接口, having matriculated through Watkins Elementary, Powell Middle, and Callaway High School. As a 1998 Callaway graduate, I continued my pursuit of education locally at the world-renowned, 'Cradle of the Civil Rights Movement', Tougaloo College and, the home of the Sonic Boom of the South, Thee Jackson State University. Having earned a Bachelor of Arts in English, a Master of Arts in Teaching, and a Specialist in Education, I am a self-proclaimed lifelong learner and social activist. Currently, I am a doctoral candidate at Belhaven University pursuing a doctorate in educational leadership. My passion for people is evident in every aspect of my life. I love being a school counselor because of the outcome. As a school counselor, I have the privilege of improving communities through children. I understand that children are essential to the growth of a community, and it is my job as the school counselor to help each child realize their potential. My role as a counselor allows me to: a) Facilitate students’ acquisition of emotional, behavioral, and academic intelligence. b) Alleviate impediments to students’ achievement and development into citizens who can make significant contributions to our global community. c) Help students select a postsecondary plan that will allow them to establish the social capital needed to change their families' lives.
